Jack Talty - Concertina/Piano
Jack Talty is a concertina and piano player from Lissycasey in county Clare. As a performer Jack has toured extensively throughout Europe, North America and Australia, and has contributed to over 30 albums to date, as a musician, engineer, composer, producer and arranger. While studying music at University College Cork Jack was awarded the Sean Ó Riada Memorial Prize, the Mary V. Hart Memorial Prize, a Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann U.C.C. scholarship award, and a Societies Guild Bene Merenti Award. In 2011 Jack released the critically acclaimed Na Fir Bolg with fellow concertina player Cormac Begley on his own Raelach Records label. In September 2013, Jack released an album with Ensemble Ériu, an ensemble directed with fellow Clare Memory Orchestra musician, Neil O' Loghlen.
